Connecting for Change Conference

by ned on October 8, 2010

If you’re interested in learning more about forest gardens you might have enjoyed coming to my workshop at the Connecting for Change: A Bioneers by the Bay Conference on Friday October 22nd 2010. In the workshop, What is a Food Forest? The Human Habitat Paradigm I explored the mentality of how we fit into the ecology of our world, how this is reflected in our resource use and discussed forest gardens and exciting fruits (there was a chance to taste locally-grown kiwi, pawpaw and persimmon too!). It was a heartening experience to see so much interest in this ecological work- the workshop was well attended and the engaged attendees asked a lot of  great questions. The weekend held many other workshops, activities and speakers including Greg Mortenson, author of Three Cups of Tea.  I thank you all in New Bedford for hosting such a forward-looking conference.
